Whether you're emailing a single item, posting on Facebook, or sending a public link via WhatsApp or WeChat, our sharing tools help you reach buyers quickly and professionally. In this article, you’ll learn how to share single or multiple items, add price markups, and ensure your listings generate leads—right from your desktop or the Rapaport Trade app.
Sharing Options
You can share any diamond (excluding matched pairs) from both the Rapaport Trade website and app using the Share buttons:
Email: Sent from your email address with a live 48-hour link.
Link: Generate and copy to share via text, WhatsApp, WeChat, etc. Valid for 7 days.
Facebook: Post items directly to your page with a message. The link is valid for 7 days.
You can choose to hide or add markup before sharing.

These Share buttons are on every diamond item page except for matched pairs of diamonds.

Inquiries & Customer Interaction
Email shares include:
– “I like this item.”
– “Send me something else.”
Clicking either sends you a notification.Link/Facebook shares include an inquiry form.
You’ll receive email and Rapaport Trade notifications when a customer responds. Set up your notifications here.
Do Shared Item Pages Show Images & Videos?
Yes, the shared item page includes media if it's available on Rapaport Trade.
If the supplier has uploaded images or videos to Rapaport Trade, they will display on the item page and will be visible when shared externally.
However, if the media is hosted externally (outside Rapaport Trade), it will not
This ensures your customers can see clear visuals of the items you send them via email, link, or Facebook—helping you present items professionally and drive engagement.
Share Items Privately with Rapaport Trade Members via Chat
In addition to sharing items with non-members via email, link, or social media, you can also share directly with other Rapaport Trade members using Rapaport Trade Chat.
This is perfect for member-to-member negotiations, item suggestions, or fast communication with trusted contacts.
How to Share via Rapaport Trade Chat:
Copy the Item’s Lot Number
Go to the diamond item page
Click the Lot# to copy it to your clipboard
Open Rapaport Trade Chat
Go to Chat in the menu
Click New Chat with Member
Type in the member’s name, company, or Rapaport Trade ID
Click Continue
Insert the Shared Item
In the chat window, click the Share icon
Paste the Lot# into the field
Preview the item
Send
Once you’re happy with the preview, click Send to share the item directly
The recipient will receive the item in their Rapaport Trade Chat inbox, along with your message.
Note: Items shared through Chat are not shown on the Items Shared page, as they are tracked directly in the chat conversation.
