How to Use Rapaport ListingIQ

A step-by-step guide to comparing your diamonds with the live Rapaport Trade market, finding stones that need attention and improving your price position.

Written by Philippa Corrick

Rapaport ListingIQ answers one question for every diamond you list: is my price right for the market today? This guide shows you how to filter your inventory, compare it with live Rapaport Trade listings, and find the overpriced, aging or underperforming stones worth acting on.

Step 1: Open your ListingIQ dashboard

When you open Rapaport ListingIQ, a preset group filter is already applied to your diamonds. Check which group is selected so you know which part of your inventory you're looking at.

Step 2: Filter your view

Narrow your inventory by diamond group, carat, color, clarity and fluorescence to focus on the goods you want to review.

Step 3: Compare your inventory with the market

The list updates to show only matching diamonds and where each one sits in the lineup.

  • Position 1–5: You're among the most competitively priced for these criteria.

  • High position: You're priced well above the market average. That can be fine for stones with extra value, such as an exceptional make, but it may slow sales for standard goods.

Step 4: Drill down into individual diamonds

Go through your filtered group one stone at a time. For each diamond, review:

  • How many similar diamonds are currently listed on Rapaport Trade.

  • Your exact price rank and percentile (for example, 30th percentile).

  • Where you sit against the median and the 10th percentile price, shown in Market Price Position.

Step 5: Read price and age together

Switch to Age to see how long each stone has been listed against the market average. Look for diamonds with a high Age and a high Market Position. These are the stones least likely to sell, and the first candidates for a price review.

Tip: Lower the price just enough to move into a top-10 position, then watch for a rise in buyer engagement in Rapaport SellerIQ.

Step 6: Refine and rank

As you narrow down to specific attributes, such as 0.50 ct H VVS1 3EX, ListingIQ shows your exact rank in that group. The Price per Carat Ranking chart places your stone among the 60 closest comparable listings, from cheapest to most expensive.

Good to know: A small cut in price per carat can sometimes lift a stone a long way up the ranking, and with it, its visibility to buyers.

Step 7: Compare broader criteria

Widen or clear your filters to zoom out. For example, look at VVS1 and VVS2 together to see how many comparable diamonds are on Rapaport Trade and how your rank changes in the larger group.
