Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security requirement for Rapaport Trade accounts. It helps prevent unauthorised access, even if someone obtains your password.
How MFA works
When you sign in, Rapaport Trade may ask for two forms of verification:
Your login details: Your username and password.
A verification code: A temporary six-digit code sent to your registered email address or mobile phone.
Your password alone is therefore not enough to access your account.
When will I need to enter a verification code?
You will usually be asked for a code when signing in on a new or unrecognised device. You may also be asked to verify your identity periodically for security purposes.
The code will be sent to the email address or mobile number registered to your Rapaport Trade account.
How does MFA protect my Rapaport Trade account?
If someone obtains your password, they would still need access to your registered email address or mobile phone to complete the sign-in process.
This provides added protection for your:
Personal and company information
Diamond listings and searches
Messages and trading activity
Account settings
Keep your Rapaport Trade account secure
To make sure you can receive verification codes:
Keep your registered email address and mobile number up to date.
Never share a verification code with anyone.
Contact Rapaport Trade Support if you receive a code you did not request or believe someone has tried to access your account.
Rapaport Trade representatives will never ask you to provide your password or verification code.
For instructions, see Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on Rapaport Trade.
MFA reduces the risk of unauthorised access and helps protect your personal information and trading activity on Rapaport Trade.
