Primary Supplier Monthly Performance Report

See which of your diamonds buyers viewed and shared last month, and which countries the interest came from.

Written by Philippa Corrick

Your Monthly Performance Report shows how buyers engaged with your diamonds last month: which stones they opened, which they shared, and which countries they're in. It's included with your Primary Supplier membership.

Use it to see which stones are drawing attention, which markets want them, and where your pricing might need a second look.

Where to find your report

  1. Log in to Rapaport Trade.

  2. Go to Market Intelligence > Rapaport Trade Reports.

  3. Open the latest Monthly Diamond Activity report. A new one is added on the 1st of each month and covers the previous month.

How the report is laid out

The report is a spreadsheet with one row per diamond, per action. If a stone was viewed and also shared, it appears on two rows: one counting views, one counting shares.

The three actions

  • View Diamond: a Rapaport Trade member opened the diamond to see its full details.

  • Shares: a member shared the diamond, for example with a client or on social media.

  • Instant Inventory view: someone viewed the diamond on a jeweler's own website through Instant Inventory. You'll only see these if you allow your diamonds on Instant Inventory.

What each column shows

Columns

What they show

Lot #, Stock #, Shape, Size, Color, etc.

The diamond and its details.

Date From / Date To

The period the data covers.

Action / Number of Actions

What happened to the diamond, and how many times.

Top Country to 5th Country, # Other Countries

The five countries the activity came from most, each with its count, then a combined total for everywhere else.

Example

Say a row reads: View Diamond · 56 · USA 30 · India 10 · Hong Kong 6 · Other Countries 10.

That means members opened this diamond 56 times last month. More than half of those views came from the USA, and the rest were spread across India, Hong Kong and other countries.

Getting the most from your report

  • Find your most popular stones. Sort by Number of Actions. If a stone gets lots of views but isn't selling, check its price against similar listings in Rapaport ListingIQ.

  • See where your buyers are. Filter by country to see which markets are interested in which shapes and sizes.

  • Watch your shares. A share usually means a member is showing the stone to a client, so it's a stronger sign of interest than a view.

Want this every day, not once a month? Rapaport SellerIQ shows buyer searches, views, saves and media views for every stone, refreshed daily.
