Rapaport Trade has several tools that help diamond buyers find the right stone at the right price and offer more choice to their own customers. Here are five worth knowing, with a link to the full guide for each.
1. TradeScreen: check where asking prices are
TradeScreen is a grid showing the best and average asking prices for diamonds listed on Rapaport Trade, by shape, size, color and clarity, with each price's discount to the Rapaport Price List. These are sellers' actual asking prices, and they change as diamonds are listed, sold or removed.
Use it to:
Check whether a price you've been quoted is competitive before you negotiate
Research prices by category before you buy

2. Instant Inventory and sharing: offer your customers more diamonds
Instant Inventory lets retailers show diamonds listed on Rapaport Trade on their own website, without holding the stock. You choose the diamond criteria, the suppliers and your pricing markup, and customers see images and videos where the supplier provides them. To publish a live feed, you need an e-commerce website and an Instant Inventory subscription or trial.
To send individual diamonds to a customer, use the Share buttons on the diamond's item page. You can share by email, link or Facebook, add your markup, or hide the price.

3. Markup: set your own prices for customers
The markup feature adds your margin to a diamond's price before you show or share it: a percentage, a fixed US dollar amount, or both. When you share a marked-up diamond, the customer sees your price and your details, not the seller's.
For a one-off markup, enter an access code in the diamond search. For example, enter 125 for a 25% markup.
To apply markups every time, save up to five markup rules in Price Markups settings.

4. Compare: weigh up diamonds side by side
Select diamonds in your search results and compare them side by side on carat weight, color, clarity, cut, price and grading report details. You can compare up to ten diamonds at once.

5. Buy Requests: let matching diamonds come to you
Post a Buy Request describing the diamond you need, and you'll see a list of matching diamonds listed on Rapaport Trade straight away. Newly listed diamonds that match are added to your request automatically, and sellers with matching stock are notified and can respond to you. You can post public, private or anonymous requests.
