Answers to common questions about what customers can search and filter in your Instant Inventory feed, how many results they see, and how your staff can use it in-store. For setup, see Setting Up Your Instant Inventory Feed.

Search and filters

Can customers search by certificate number?

No. Instant Inventory doesn't support searching by certificate number, in either the widget or the API.

Can customers filter by country or city?

No. Location-based search, such as by country or city, isn't available in the widget or the API.

Result limits

Why am I only seeing 100 diamonds in my search results?

The widget and the API both return a maximum of 100 diamonds per request. If your feed has more than 100 diamonds, the results are split into pages:

  • Page 1 shows results 1–100.

  • Page 2 shows results 101–200, and so on.

In-store use

Can my staff use Instant Inventory in-store?

Yes. Your staff can use the Instant Inventory feed on your website just as a customer would, which is a simple way to help walk-in clients choose from your full digital inventory.

  1. Search for a diamond and click Make an Inquiry.

  2. Fill in the customer's contact details and click Send.

The inquiry then reaches you the same way as any online inquiry. See Managing Diamond Inquiries via Instant Inventory and Instant Inventory Notifications.
