Rapaport Trade Chat lets you message sellers and buyers about a specific stone without leaving Rapaport Trade. Chat one-to-one or in a group, react with emojis, send voice messages and files, check the item and the member beside the conversation, and keep every deal in one place in Chats & Trades.

Open the listing for a diamond, gemstone, parcel or matched pair and click Contact Seller. The chat opens with the stone already attached, and you can edit the pre-filled message before you send it. To send a stone to a member instead, open the item and click Share. See How to Share Diamonds.

Open Chats & Trades and use the tabs at the top to show all conversations, or just buying, selling or chats. Filter by unread to see what needs an answer, or search by company name or account ID. For a full tour, including archived chats, see Navigate Chats & Trades.

Add an emoji to react to any message, select the microphone icon to record a voice message, or use the paperclip to send a picture, video or PDF. The mark beside each message shows whether it has been sent, delivered or read, or if it failed. If a message fails, select it to send it again.

The panel beside the conversation shows the item details (grading, measurements, media and price) and the other company's member profile. Links from the panel open in a new tab, so you don't lose the conversation.

Use the group menu to add people, rename the group or leave. If you're the admin and you leave, you either hand the group on or close it. A closed group stays readable, but nobody can post.

Select the floating chat button to open your conversations while you search. Minimize it to get back to your search, and it reopens on the same conversation.
